What's in my school bag? ♥

What's in my school bag? ♥

Hi, so today I am going to write you a 'what's in my school bag' post. I love reading these posts as I am quite nosy and I always find things that I never would of thought of putting in my school bag! So here we go:
So I have just a plain black rucksack which goes with anything and has lots of space. So, here is the things I carry in my bag:

(Just a disclaimer, I haven't added things like my school books, planner etc. as that is obvious)

1.  Bath and body work hand sanitizer (you never know what you might put your hands in, eww)
2.  Tangle teezer (after sport you might need to brush your hair)
3.  Burts bees lip balm (just to moisturize your lips)
4.  Baby lips lip balm
5.  Extra white chewing gum (you never know when you want to freshen up)
6.  Eos lip balm
7.  Scientific calculator (I am required to have one of these at school)
8.  Headphones (a must have to listen to music)
9.  Fiji water (you always need to keep hydrated, especially in the summer)
10.Headphone splitters
11.Hair pins (you never know when you need these)
12.Iphone (can't go to school without it)
13.Pencil case
14.Cath Kidson purse (just to keep some loose change)
15.Hair ties (another must have for sport)
16. Tissues
I also think it would be useful to see what I keep in my Emma Bridgewater pencil case:
1. Pens and pencils (a pencil case essential)
2. Tip-ex (for them small mistakes)
3. Sharpie highlighters (great for posters and coloring in)
4. Rubber (another essential)
5. Colored sharpie pens (great for organizing your notes)
6. Ruler (necessary)
7. Prit-stick (Just in case)
8. Sharpener

Hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed writing it. Hopefully soon I will write an organizing post!

Summer Outfits ♥

Summer Outfits ♥

So these are some outfits I have put together for summer. Hope you enjoy!

So this first outfit is great for a summer/spring walk, I found this pretty burgundy dress online but a floral one with a plain belt would look great as well. Over sized knitted cardigans work really well with dresses but you can wear them with anything really and finally the black boots go with the outfit really well but you could just as easily wear this outfit with sandals.
The next outfit I have paired high-waisted joni jeans and a floral crop top with a cream cardigan and a denim mi pack with lace. The pendant necklace is subtle but adds something else and the flip flops can easily be swapped by other shoes, so this outfit would probably be for a more chilly day.
This is probably my favorite outfit, it is great for a summer day at the beach. A lace top is great paired with these denim shorts and this bad hair day hat would add something different. The shoes I chose to go with this outfit are the classic white converse and a rose gold watch, a belt and a floral headband would add some color and a summer-like feel.
The main piece of this outfit is the floral dress and the denim jacket goes really well with it and adds a more urban feel to the outfit, still keeping it classy. This outfit would work with or without tights and a small shoulder bag just adds a little something. Also, as with lots of the outfits, you could wear it with some strap sandals but I decided on white vans with frilly socks.
You could dress this outfit up or down, for an evening walk or a meal out. By adding a pastel pink bag, pumps, and a statement necklace it adds some bright color and adding the sunglasses adds something more to the outfit. This white skater skirt gives the outfit a more summer-like look and the black crop top is a nice contrast.

Hope you enjoyed reading this post and got some inspiration, and soon I will make some more posts like this because I really enjoy making them!

Chocolate chip cookies ♥

So today I am going to share with you a simple chocolate chip cookie recipe. Enjoy x

Ingredients:
225g (8oz) - plain flour
15g (1/2 oz) - baking powder
115g (4 oz) - butter or margarine
115g (4 oz) - demerara sugar
115g (4 oz) - chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon - vanilla essence
25 ml - milk

Method:
Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas 4

1. Sift the flour and baking powder into a mixing bowl and add the butter or margarine.
 2. Then rub the flour, baking powder and butter or margarine together until it resembles breadcrumbs.
3. Next, add the sugar, chocolate chips, vanilla essence and milk to the mixture.
4. Mix them together until the ingredients come together into a soft dough.
5. Next split the dough into 8 pieces then, split them pieces in half again.
6. Roll the pieces into a ball and then flatten them onto a baking tray with baking parchment on.
7. Put them in the oven for 13-15 minuets until golden-brow.
8. So this is what it should look like when out of the oven.

I hope you enjoyed this post and try them out yourselves.

My April Favorites ♥

My April Favorites ♥

Hi, so there are some things that I have been loving this April, make-up, beauty and fashion. I am going to share a few of these with you in this blog post. :)

I have been loving the body shop Strawberry Shower Gel. It smells so good, I can't even tell you. My skin is quite sensitive but it is great and doesn't irritate it. I really recommend it and it is not that expensive.
This is my go to mascara as is really lengthens and extenuates your lashes. It as around £20 I think but is worth the money and it doesn't smudge!

So recently I have been using the Clinique deep comfort body butter, I find it really moisturizes your skin and as I have been using it more frequently, my skin has become a lot more hydrated.
Even though this candle is cheap (only about £1), it still smells really good and I am really pleased I got it. It has a fresh scent and the scent is blackcurrant and orchard from Primark.
So a fashion piece that I have been really liking recently is a plain grey jumper, yes, I know that sounds boring but I think it is an essential all year round. For winter and autumn, you could wear it with a checkered shirt, jeans, and boots. But also for spring and summer, you could just as easily wear it with shorts and a statement necklace or with a cute collar poking out and I have been trying it out with lots of different styles.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing what I have been loving this April and see you soon. x

DIY Marquee Letters ♥

DIY Marquee Letters ♥

Hi, so today I am going to be showing you how to make DIY Marquee Letters that look like this:

The things you will need are:
  • Craft Mache Letters (I got mine from Hobby Craft)
  • Craft knife
  • Craft board
  • LED battery fairy lights
  • Pen or pencil
 1.  First you will need to cut off the back of the letters with the craft knife. It is fairy easy to cut through and is not very thick. You will need to do this to all your letters.
 2. Once you have taken the back off the letters, it should look like this:
 3. You will need to take all the cardboard filling out from the letters, it should look like this:
 4. So next you need to turn the letters over and puncture holes with a pen or pencil. I marked out where I wanted the holes before I made them just so I could check I have enough lights and make them evenly spaced. At this point you may want to spray paint or paint the letters but I decide just to leave them as it looks more rustic and went with my room.
 5. Once you have made the holes, you will need to put the lights through them and space them out evenly.
 6. Finally you will need to tape down the wire that is sticking out. This might take some time but it will make it look so much better when you do.
And this is the final result:

Hope you enjoyed this DIY and see you soon.
